Yes. Every Homely customer has access to a licensed Financial Adviser. You can engage as much or as little human support as suits your situation — from a quick question to full end-to-end advice.

Yes. Homely holds a Financial Advice Provider (FAP) licence issued by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA). All financial advice provided through Homely is covered by that licence.

No. Homely’s AI technology handles paperwork, organises your information and identifies suitable lending options — but it doesn’t provide regulated financial advice. Your licensed Financial Adviser does that.

Like most mortgage advisers in New Zealand, Homely advisers receive a commission from the lender when a loan settles. This will always be disclosed to you before any advice is provided.

In most cases, no. Homely’s service is free to borrowers. Our advisers are remunerated through lender commissions, which are disclosed transparently as part of our advice process.

You can use Homely’s platform to explore and compare options at any time. However, to submit a formal application and receive regulated mortgage advice, you will work with one of our licensed advisers.

Our aim is to present you with offers from lenders within 24-48 hours so that you can move through the home loan process faster. However, the approval time may vary depending on how fast each lender can move.

For salaried earners, you’ll need proof of income (payslips or tax returns), address proof, bank statements, ID, and property details to get started. For business owners or contractors, a different set of documents is required. Our AI engine makes uploading quick and easy.
